* Background *
A little bit about me ...
I started playing guitar when I was approximately eleven years old
and came to realize this is what I wanted to do as a career. After I
finished college with a degree in music performance, I started to
build my career, a little at a time.
I played with friends and pick-up bands, spent plenty of time in
rehearsal studios and did the requisite number of bar and dance
joint gigs and cut a few demos along the way.
To earn a few bucks on a regular basis, I started teaching guitar to
aspiring young musicians and this parlayed itself into a small but
regular income. I enjoyed a good reputation in and around my home
area on Long Island, NY.
But everyone knows the U.S. music scene is basically centered in a
few big cities - L.A., Detroit, Nashville or New York. Since I lived
relatively close to the “city” but too far to commute realistically, I
packed my gear and headed to the Big Apple. Things have been
picking up, ever since!
